Oh boy is it fun to look back at what a success the 2024 season was for the British and Irish Eagles. Not only did the Birds win the Super Bowl!! But we have now also merged with UK Phillies and UK 76ers to create Philly Sports International!
Watchalongs and get togethers:
We hosted and sponsored seven watchalongs in London, Glasgow and Cardiff with jersey and prize giveaways. There’s nothing quite like Philly Sports Fans getting together, shouting go birds or go phils as soon as they see each other before embracing and downing a pickleback shot to a chant. These watchalongs are the very fabric of our existence and we cannot wait to do more in 2025 and beyond and in more locations! 2024 saw our first two Glasgow watchalongs in Committee Room 9, to go along with the Passyunk Avenue venues in London and we even sponsored a watchalong in Cardiff. If you listen closely, you can still hear Mik in Committee Rom 9 shouting “Get that up ye Mahomes ya wee tit” with an empty bottle of Loch Lomond whisky, a torn kilt and a slowly burning out cigar.
Meanwhile the Nick Foles bar in Passyunk Avenue Waterloo, Leake Street will never be the same again. All I can say is don’t bring a blue flash flight.
Birds Fly Home 2024:
I didn’t think we were going to be able to top 2023, but by god we did. In late October/early Nov we brought 25x people to Philadelphia for the Eagles Trip of a lifetime. This Five days trip included events with ex players, appearances on national TV with celebs, box seats for a 76ers game, tickets to a fliers game, a tour of the Linc, 4x nights stay at a 4* hotel in Philly, a VIP tailgate with Philly sports trips and ex players, as well as lower level tickets to see the Eagles play and win! *(Philly Sports Trips cannot guarantee an Eagles Win for every trip, terms and conditions apply)....:)
If you haven’t heard about this trip, please speak to a member who has been on one of them or watch some of our promo videos. This really is the trip of a lifetime, with the chance to do and experience things in Philadelphia that people who have lived there for 50 years have never been able to do. It’s my favourite thing that we do and with myself and my wife Katie moving to Philadelphia in a few weeks time for work - I’m very excited as to how I can help make future trips even better!
Fantasy Leagues:
150 members signed up in 2024 and we hosted seven fantasy leagues which were tightly contested right up until the post-season. I myself had a poor showing, but I’m determined to come back and fight stronger next year with my team EagleCastle. Shout out to Gary Potts, Kris Ashburner, Greg Roche Nick Bocella, Nick Hucks, Kevin Hodgson and Adam Gross for picking up their league championship prizes. Which included a Hurts signed game day jersey!
Competition Prizes and Giveaways:
It wasn’t just fantasy league competitions that meant we gave away cool merch, below you can see the full list of prizes we have away in 2024 through raffles, watchalongs, leagues and giveaway competitions. Those of you who came to the Eagles vs Bucs watchalong will remember that I drunkenly started to give away jerseys for a 1st down.. I’ve been told not to do that again. But who knows what the future holds….

Podcasts:
Ahh where it all started for us, bored during covid and realising that there was no podcast about the birds outside of the USA, let alone in the UK. 5 seasons later and as I write this we have recorded 169 podcasts. With the introduction of video clips of our podcasts we have reached over 1 million people around the world. Quite astonishing really. In 2024 we hosted 37 Podcasts with ex players, current coaches and a plethora of Eagles celebrities and beat writers. The UK Phillies and UK 76ers also hosted a high volume of live and recorded podcasts throughout 2024 with ex players and Philly celebs. Together, the new PSI Organisation reached over 2 million viewers and listeners across all platforms in 2024.
